HSBC CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE 2025

Lotus Dawn celebrated Vietnam’s rich heritage and the promise of new beginnings, embodying HSBC’s Circle of Excellence. Inspired by the lotus, a symbol of resilience and growth, the beachfront venue transformed into a radiant garden of illuminated lotus flowers, seamlessly blending traditional Vietnamese artistry with modern elegance. Every décor element—from the entrance arch and walkway to the bar, stage, and photo opportunities—drew inspiration from the lotus.

This theme traced HSBC’s evolution from a traditional banking institution to a digital leader, seamlessly bridging heritage with innovation while reinforcing trust and leadership. The expo honoured the brand’s legacy and the shape makers who influenced HSBC’s growth and the global WPB landscape. Through immersive zones, winners explored HSBC’s core pillars—innovation, wealth, customer experience, and people. Interactive technology and experiences brought the bank’s global impact to life, showcasing how HSBC connected ideas, expertise, and opportunity to shape the future of finance.

The plenary session of the Circle of Excellence was a reflective, immersive journey that celebrated the achievements of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The eternal cycle of excellence, symbolised by an orb, connected each act, representing continuity, transformation, strength, stability, and visionary leadership. This narrative was woven through the legendary Vietnamese creatures, embodying the qualities that defined HSBC’s leadership journey, and drew inspiration from four mythical creatures of Vietnam, each paralleling HSBC’s customer visionaries.

The Oracle of the Moon brought the spirit of Hoi An’s Full Moon Festival to life through an immersive cultural celebration under glowing lanterns. The town square transformed into a vibrant night market, welcoming guests with a lantern parade symbolising prosperity and unity. Traditional street food, handcrafted textiles, artisanal crafts, and interactive showcases invited exploration, while dragon dances, live music, and folklore-inspired performances filled the air—creating a rich, sensorial journey through Vietnam’s heritage.

The charity initiative took place on the Hyatt Hotel Lawn in Vietnam in partnership with the East Meets West Foundation, supporting children from vulnerable communities. With nearly 22% of children under five affected by malnutrition, the programme focused on education and well-being. Eighty students aged 7–8 from Lam Quang Thu and Hoa Nhon Primary Schools participated in hands-on activities, including building bookshelves and benches, packing school backpacks, and enjoying a carnival-style celebration. Rooted in the belief that children shape the future, the initiative fostered creativity, resilience, and connection.

Rising Phoenix was a powerful tribute to HSBC’s Circle of Excellence, celebrating transformative success and visionary leadership. Inspired by Vietnam’s rich cultural symbolism, the phoenix represented renewal, resilience, and ascent. The evening unfolded as a majestic journey where ancient meaning met contemporary innovation, honouring leaders who transcended boundaries and ignited new eras of excellence. Meticulously crafted moments spotlighted their achievements and influence, recognising them as the driving force shaping the future and defining tomorrow’s success.
